breakfast of champions

All things are canceled due to precipitation, snow, rain and the combination of the two. Nevertheless, the budgies, cardinals and chickadees are grubbing at the feeders and we’re indulging a bit ourselves. What do we have for breakfast when the roads are impassable and the Better Half isn’t here to criticize (he’s in Florida where it’s raining on his annual guys’ weekend away, and this is me feigning sympathy)?
My kids eat caramel apples with ferocity! All that pent up energy applied to this righteous treat. The breakfast of champions and snowbound children the world over… How we will spin off the effects of the sugared sprinkles and the goopy caramel coating remains to be seen. Did I mention that the Better Half is in Florida? I’ll think I’ll brew another pot of tea, it’s gonna be a lonnnng day.
